You’ll lead Absher’s self-perform framing and drywall scopes from estimate through execution, managing planning, cost performance, and field alignment to ensure successful delivery.This role blends estimating discipline with operational leadership. You’ll develop accurate estimates, manage project financial performance, and stay connected to field production to ensure work is executed as planned. Success in this role requires strong judgment, financial ownership, and close coordination with field leadership.This is a builder’s role for someone who understands framing and drywall production, thrives on accountability, and takes pride in delivering disciplined, high-performing work.What You’ll DoPrepare detailed estimates for metal stud framing, drywall, and taping scopes of workAnalyze drawings, specifications, and contract documents to define project requirementsDevelop labor, material, and production-based cost strategiesParticipate in estimate reviews and support project buyout, vendor selection, and procurementManage project budgets, forecasting, and financial performance across assigned scopesPrepare, submit, and negotiate change orders and pricing adjustmentsMonitor project execution to ensure alignment with estimate assumptions and production targetsCoordinate with field leadership on scope, sequencing, labor planning, and constructabilityTrack labor productivity and cost performance and address variances earlyIdentify scope gaps, cost risks, and execution challenges and drive resolutionMaintain strong project documentation and deliver clear financial and project reportingEngage with jobsites as needed to stay connected to production conditions and project progressWhy You’ll Be SuccessfulYou’re a disciplined operator who understands both the numbers and the work in the field. You take ownership of outcomes, communicate clearly with field teams, and maintain financial accountability from estimate through completion.What You BringBachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent field experience)10+ years of experience in commercial construction, preferably in framing, drywall, or interior systemsStrong experience estimating and managing project financial performanceAbility to interpret drawings, specifications, and contract documents independentlyUnderstanding of labor productivity drivers and production-based planningStrong collaboration with field leadership and project teamsEffective communication, organization, and problem-solving skillsSafety certifications (OSHA 10 or 30, First Aid/CPR) preferredNote: Absher is a Federal Contractor.
