About the RoleSeeking a Senior Backend Engineer with deep Node.js expertise to join an amazing team focused on guest experience. You will be instrumental in developing and enhancing a new platform that enables sales and HR partners to simulate employee portal experiences. This role requires someone who can hit the ground running and contribute immediately to high-priority deliverables.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain backend services in Node.js (migrating some legacy Java services into Node.js).Implement and maintain integration and unit testing to ensure product reliability.Collaborate with frontend, architecture, and product teams to deliver scalable, secure, and user-friendly solutions.Enhance and extend the Guest Experience platform, with a critical milestone delivery by Jan 1st.Ensure high-quality code, proper documentation, and adherence to enterprise standards.Required Skills6+ years backend engineering experience.Strong Node.js (ES6+) mastery – including Express, GraphQL, asynchronous programming, and advanced JavaScript concepts (inheritance, deep cloning, function overwriting).Solid experience with integration and unit testing frameworks.Excellent communication skills; able to explain technical decisions and collaborate cross-functionally.Previous enterprise/corporate experience required.Nice-to-Have SkillsExposure to Java (maintenance of legacy services)Familiarity with AWS/DevOps conceptsFrontend development exposureSoft SkillsStrong interpersonal and collaboration skills.Ability to thrive in a large, complex corporate environment.Adaptable and self-motivated, capable of learning quickly.
