Food Service Attendant- Childcare Centers

Location: Purdue/Jischke West Lafayette, IN 47906 Seeking responsible workers to operate a small warming kitchen that feeds infants through pre-k children breakfast, lunch and snack. Duties include: Maintain health and safety standards by cleaning your equipment and workstation frequently throughout your shift Properly store and restock food, cleaning, and cooking supplies throughout each shift Serve precisely measured food to school age youth Engage with students and staff in a friendly, positive manner Organizing inventory Counting Inventory Preparing and setting up food for service Serving food according to strict serving sizes Clean up kitchen area after service Must become familiar with food allergy list, specific menu changes and offerings Must prepare and be ready to serve according to location’s serving schedule Abilities: Knowledge of food service and sanitation Must be able to lift 30lbs and stand for extended periods. Must be able to work as a team with other people Must enjoy working with children Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions Satellite location Must be able to pass Federal background check, which includes fingerprinting an extensive background check. (Required due to the security standards of the location) Serve Safe certification a plus, otherwise must be attained within 30 days of employment Perfect job for retirees.
