WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Located at our Byron Center, MI location, the Paint Lead collaborates with our paint team and oversees day to day start up, running and shut down of the paint line to produce the highest quality product.. Day-to-day responsibilities include:
Promoting a safe work environment for all employee owners
Modeling Lumbermen's core values
Training, motivating, and coaching employee owners
Approaching work each day with a positive attitude
Developing and maintaining a working knowledge of Finishing operations
Assigning work ensuring timely and accurate completion
Facilitating strong communication with customer service
Having a "customer first" mindset and mentality
Leveraging lean management systems to promote a measurable continuous improvement culture
Utilizing problem-solving skills to promote a cost effective and seamless process
Leading 5S efforts to create a visual place for everything
Assisting the team as needed
Performing other tasks/duties as requested by the Superintendent

This position offers a $300 annual clothing allowance for uniform, protective footwear, and PPE.

Paint/stain experience preferred
Ability to consistently meet production deadlines
KEY QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
High School diploma/GED required
Leadership experience preferred
Commitment to safety and adherence to policies as a top priority
Able to lead by example and lead others to success
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Effectiveness in providing clarity to team in achieving company goals and objectives
Strong problem-solving skills
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Able to reach, grasp, bend, and stoop
Able to be on feet 8 hours per day
Able to lift up to 75 lbs. repetitively/continuously
