With operations across more than 40 locations worldwide, Amsted Rail leverages advanced manufacturing processes and engineering innovation to deliver high-performance, reliable solutions to customers across the globe.Position SummaryThe Engineering Co-Op will work under the supervision of the Engineering and Quality Manager to support the development and implementation of engineering documentation and manufacturing processes. This role provides hands-on experience in an industrial manufacturing environment, offering exposure to real-world engineering applications and problem-solving.Key ResponsibilitiesCreate and revise 3D models and 2D drawings using Creo CAD softwareDevelop and update work instructions and technical documentationSupport engineering and management teams in daily operational tasksUtilize tools such as Microsoft Excel to organize, analyze, and interpret dataAssist with troubleshooting of manufacturing equipmentEnsure compliance with plant safety, ergonomic, and environmental standardsMinimum QualificationsCurrently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Mechatronic EngineeringAvailability to work approximately 20 hours per week during the academic year and up to 40 hours per week during the summerStrong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlinesProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)Preferred QualificationsExperience with 3D/2D CAD software (Creo preferred)Prior internship or co-op experienceHands-on mechanical aptitude or experience in a technical environmentPhysical RequirementsAbility to perform tasks requiring a full range of motion, including bending, squatting, and reachingAbility to lift up to 50 pounds as neededMust be able to work in a manufacturing environment and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)Amsted Rail's Equal Opportunity StatementAmsted Rail is an Equal Opportunity employer.
