CNC Machine Operator/Assembler

*Position: CNC Machine Operator/Assembler* *Contract to Hire* *Shift: 1st Shift - 6am-6pm - 12 Hour Shifts* *Pay Range: $22.00 To $24.00* *POSITION OVERVIEW* This individual will report to our Group Lead and will perform a wide range of tasks in manufacturing including but not limited to machining parts, making and inspecting sub-assemblies as well as final assemblies of all of our roller and slide guide products. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Performs work in a manufacturing environment emphasizing teamwork, safety, quality, productivity and cost improvements. * Follows standardized work procedures and work sequence for each process. * Works with their team to improve standardized processes / methods, identify waste, methodically eliminate waste and standardize the new process / methods. * Directly responsible for performance of duties within assigned work area. * Completes all working documentation, records and reports as requested. * Adheres to all company policies and procedures. * Be proactive and reactive to resolve abnormalities in the process. * Performs other duties as requested, directed or assigned. *JOB QUALIFICIATIONS & REQUIREMENTS* *Minimum Background and Skills Required:* * High School Diploma or GED * 1 year of manufacturing experience or equivalent mechanical training/aptitude/experience * Ability to use hand and power tools * Ability to communicate and work well with others in a group environment * Demonstrated ability to work in cooperation with other team members towards building a sense of teamwork * Desire to proactively identify and make suggestions for continuous process improvements * Basic math skills and measurement skills * Ability to work 12-hour shifts from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM including some weekend hours *Additional Background and Skills Preferred:* * Experience in a manufacturing environment * 1 to 3 years of experience operating CNC machinery * Experience in reading blueprints and using applicable measurement tools and gauges such as calipers and micrometers * Experience deburring parts *PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS* * This position is contract to hire. * Requires frequent walking or standing up to 85% of the day up to 12 hours a day * Requires repetitive hand motion 100% of the time * Lifting and pushing 45% of the time * Must be able to lift 25-50 lbs. and up to 70 lbs. with assistance * Hearing and visual acuity are required for this job 100% of the time * Speaking is required 85% of the time Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour Ability to Commute: * Owings Mills, MD 21117 (Required) Work Location: In person
