Heating Air Conditioning Service Technician
About the RoleWe are seeking experienced Commercial HVAC Service Technicians to join a growing service team in Connecticut. This role focuses on diagnostics, troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance of commercial HVAC systems.Key ResponsibilitiesDiagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC systems and componentsPerform preventative maintenance and equipment startupsService RTUs, chillers, boilers, VAV systems, heat pumps, split systems, and hydronic systemsTroubleshoot control systems, frequency drives, and central plant equipmentHandle refrigeration piping, including brazing and solderingEvaluate systems and recommend upgrades or efficient repair solutionsAccurately estimate time and materials for service workMaintain tools, equipment, and job site accountabilityComplete service documentation accurately and on timeCommunicate effectively with customers and internal technical teamsFollow all safety procedures and applicable codesQualificationsValid Connecticut HVAC License (S1, S2, D1, or D2) – Required3–5+ years of commercial HVAC service experienceCurrently employed in an HVAC service role (strongly preferred)Strong experience in diagnostics and troubleshootingHands-on experience with chillers, boilers, controls, and commercial systemsKnowledge of local codes, safety standards, and regulationsOSHA 10 certification (preferred)Strong communication and customer service skillsAbility to work independently in the fieldWork ScheduleOn-call rotation (approximately every 4 weeks)Overtime and emergency service availability requiredCompensation & PerksCompetitive hourly pay~$10/hour bonus potentialOn-call pay (minimum 4 hours guaranteed)Travel/traffic bonus incentivesStable workload with consistent commercial service projectsExposure to advanced HVAC systems and technologies
