Overview As an experienced SQL Database Administrator, you will manage data migration, redaction, and ongoing database operations for MS SQL Server. You will drive performance through tuning, indexing, and capacity planning, while ensuring data integrity and security across environments. You’ll partner with application teams to implement database standards and support production systems with issue resolution and reliable DR concepts. This role offers the opportunity to shape database architecture, contribute to operational efficiency, and work with cross-functional teams to keep applications running smoothly. ResponsibilitiesPerform data migration and redaction using approved tools and processesMonitor databases for growth and respond to application issuesDevelop capacity models based on requirementsAnalyze and propose improvements for poorly performing SQL and gather object statisticsSchedule data housekeeping and maintenance jobs; advise on application design efficienciesDefine, maintain, and implement database infrastructure standards (naming, coding, security, SQL, database objects)Provide feedback on database design to application usersDesign indexing, referential integrity, constraints, data types, and database objectsMaintain logical data models and serve as a database subject matter expertCollaborate with application teams to define referential integrity of database objectsAssist with implementing scripted database codesDesign and maintain physical database architecture and layoutsMaintain physical models and documentation; define connectivity configurationsCreate and maintain physical database build scripts; execute build scriptsDefine startup/shutdown procedures for database and applicationsDefine update statistics jobs Key requirements8 years SQL DBA experienceExperience in L1/L2/L3 Production Support ProjectsStrong core SQL DBA skillsExperience with MS SQL Server 2005, 2008, 2008 R2, and 2012Experience with SQL Server Mirroring and ReplicationExperience with SQL Server ClustersStrong troubleshooting skills and performance issue resolutionExperience in backup, recovery, and disaster recovery conceptsExperience in performance tuning and optimization using monitoring/troubleshooting toolsExperience in managing database security, user accounts, and access privilegesAbility to work independently and provide time estimates for tasksStrong troubleshooting and customer service skillsstrong problem-solvingcustomer service orientedability to work independentlyMS SQL ServerSQL Server MirroringSQL Server Replication
