Warehouse/Material Operator-3 (1st shift)

This position reports toWarehouse/Internal Logistics SupervisorYour role and responsibilities Operator will have higher level skills, experience and knowledge in an assigned area such as receiving, shipping, semi-finished goods storage or inventory management. Helps facilitate work within assigned area and acts as a resource for daily questions of other operators. Supports and services multiple buildings and/or product lines with higher volume/complexity. Responsible for reviewing orders, plans, preparing all daily activities required to meet internal and external customer needs and control and maintain inventory accuracy levels in all warehouses while meeting performance standards as established by management. The position works under the direction of the department Team Leader and Warehouse Supervisor.â Receives, inspects and coordinates the distribution of all incoming material throughout the facility.â Maintains received materials by checking stock to determine correct inventory levels.â Ensures the accurate and timely pulling of material for Shop Orders.â Coordinates customer or vendor returns in and out of the facility.â Maintains a safe, orderly, clean and organized material store area.â Safely loads and unloads trucks. Participates in EHS and 5S audits and correction of operational deficiencies.â Allocate inventory as required by orders to maintain inventory accuracy and on-time delivery to the internal and external customer.â Completes transactions using various computer business systems, including issues, transfers, receipts, etc. to maintain inventory accuracy. Researches inventory discrepancies in order to maintain inventory accuracy. â Monitors and prioritizes space allocation for the storerooms based off the incoming and outgoing of material.â Responsible for problem solving, finding root cause, and resolution to operational problems in assigned area.â Performs all other duties as assigned.Qualifications For The RoleBasic Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED Minimum 3 years of experience in a warehouse/manufacturing environment Good Communication Skills Basic business acumen Basic problem solving skills Safety and Quality focused â completes all mandatory Safety and OSHA trainingPreferred Qualifications: Computer literate â Must be able to develop, analyze and present data developed from the use of the computer. Knowledge of Microsoft office applications and other supply chain/warehouse systems. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Must be experienced and/or certified in using proper equipment such as forklift truck, electric pallet lift, hand truck, crane assists (if application) and other material movement equipment. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions Conducts business in a professional manner, leading by example at all times.
