Automation Controls Engineer
Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Automation Controls Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining advanced automation systems for manufacturing and industrial applications. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in electrical and mechanical system design, embedded firmware, and control system integration, with a focus on improving operational efficiency and system reliability. ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and implement automation control systems.Conduct root cause analysis to troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical issues within automation systems.Integrate vision inspection systems and signal processing techniques to enhance quality control processes.Collaborate with project teams to develop project schedules, define technical specifications, and ensure timely completion of deliverables.Conduct debugging, testing, and validation of electrical systems using tools such as ohmmeters and oscilloscopes.Support manufacturing operations by optimizing system design for reliability, efficiency, and safety standards such as NEC codes.Document system architecture, schematics, firmware codebases, and test procedures for compliance and future reference.SkillsStrong knowledge of electrical engineering principles including electrical systems design, schematics creation, and circuit analysis.Ability to perform root cause analysis using diagnostic tools like ohmmeters; strong debugging skills.Understanding of signal processing techniques relevant to vision inspection systems; experience with vision hardware is desirable.Experience working on complex projects involving system design for industrial automation environments; project scheduling skills are preferred.
