BR Quality Technician I We are seeking a Quality Control Technician to support daily manufacturing operations by inspecting product quality, documenting results, and ensuring customer requirements are met. This role is ideal for someone with manufacturing QC experience who enjoys problem-solving, collaborating with production teams, and helping prevent defects before products ship.Responsibilities:Perform and document 23 quality inspections on all production lines per shift to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.Conduct and communicate quality training sessions and alerts during shift meetings as required.Perform first-piece inspections and provide sign-off for all new parts and production start-ups.Maintain and file retain samples in accordance with quality and customer requirements.Review and approve QC Hold and BR-1 staging areas prior to finished goods shipment.Complete Nonconforming Material Reports (NCRs) for all rejected materials and coordinate follow-up meetings with affected operators and supervisor.Update and maintain QC boards, quality communications, and posted quality alerts.Create all Certificates of Conformance (COCs) in accordance with customer requirements.Prepare and complete customer-specific certification packets prior to finished goods shipment.Perform material verification by reviewing shop papers, work orders, and production documentation.Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:High School Diploma or GED required13 years of Quality Control experience in a manufacturing environment (or equivalent combination of education and experience)Ability to perform routine inspections and document results accuratelyAbility to read and interpret work instructions, procedures, and quality documentationAbility to write routine reports and complete quality records (e.g., NCRs, inspection logs, COCs)Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimalAbility to follow written, verbal, and visual instructions using common-sense reasoningAbility to communicate effectively with operators, supervisors, and customersProficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google SheetsStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAt M-D Building Products, we're not just redefining industry standards we're shaping the future of construction solutions.
