Chassis Design Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Chassis Design Engineer to support vehicle development programs at Lucid. This role focuses on the design, development, and validation of mechanical systems related to chassis components, ensuring performance, durability, and manufacturability.Key ResponsibilitiesResearch, design, and develop chassis components and mechanical systemsCreate and modify engineering drawings, 3D models, and detailed designs using CAD toolsAnalyze design proposals, specifications, and technical requirements for feasibility, cost, and performanceCollaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, testing, and suppliersSupport prototype builds, testing, and validation activitiesAssist in developing structural designs and system layoutsReview and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentationEnsure designs meet quality, safety, and regulatory standardsRequired Skills & QualificationsStrong experience with CAD software (CATIA, NX, or similar)Ability to create and interpret engineering drawings and schematicsSolid understanding of mechanical systems and chassis design principlesExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong communication (verbal & written) and teamwork abilitiesDetail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracyEducation & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field5–7 years of experience in mechanical/chassis designAutomotive industry experience preferredNice to HaveExperience with EV platforms or vehicle integrationHands-on experience with prototype builds and testingFamiliarity with manufacturing processes and tooling
