Job DescriptionPosition OverviewThe Sales Associate is responsible for sales generation and delivering a positive customer experience. The Sales Associate will also handle a variety of operational duties as assigned by the store management team (e.g., housekeeping duties, visual presentation standards, etc.).Reports To: Store ManagementEssential FunctionsCustomer ExperienceGreeting Customers: Greet customers immediately upon entering the store with a smile and sincere non-business-like greeting.First Impressions: Create a positive first impression for the customer through an energetic attitude and adherence to dress code.Store Standards: Maintain a sparkling clean and organized environment by adhering to store standards and cleanliness.Product Information: Provide customers with current relevant information about the product.Fitting Room Service: Provide quality service in the fitting rooms, follow up with customers in a timely manner, maintain cash wrap cleanliness, and attempt to add on to the sale.Cash Wrap Efficiency: Provide efficient service at the cash wrap, offer Gift Cards, maintain cash wrap cleanliness, and capture customer information in the database.Customer Appreciation: Sincerely thank all customers for shopping at GUESS as they exit the store.Cooperation & DependabilityTask Completion: Satisfactorily complete all duties as assigned by management.Punctuality: Be punctual and adhere to the designated work schedule.Teamwork: Be flexible and work well with peers and management to accomplish duties.Policy Adherence: Follow GUESS Policies and Procedures 100%.Housekeeping: Perform housekeeping duties as required.Personal Performance* Sales Goals: Meet or exceed the Sales per Hour (SPH) result as assigned by management.Miscellaneous ResponsibilitiesMeetings and Functions: Participate in and attend all store meetings and other related functions.Positive Attitude: Represent a positive attitude toward the merchandise and the company.Inventory Participation: Participate in all inventories.Additional Duties: Assume and complete other duties as assigned by store management.Physical Requirements: Ability to perform heavy lifting in excess of 30 pounds and stand for a minimum of eight hours during scheduled shifts.Job RequirementsCustomer Service Skills: Excellent communication and customer service skills.Retail Experience: Previous retail experience preferred.Team Player: Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.Flexible Schedule: Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.Physical Stamina: Ability to walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, and balance on a frequent basis.?
