This position involves teaching college-level business courses, both in-person and online. Course assignments may include a range of foundational and specialized topics such as Principles of Sales, Marketing, Advertising, Project Management, Business Mathematics, and Accounting.Qualifications:Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or a closely related business field (e.g. Management, Marketing, Accounting, Finance) from an accredited institutionMinimum of five (5) years professional experience in business, management, or a related fieldPrior teaching, training, or professional mentoring experience (higher education teaching preferred)Demonstrated knowledge of core business disciplines such as management, marketing, accounting, and/or business operations.Experience integrating real-world business practices and current industry trends into instructionProficiency with instructional technology, including learning management systems, digital gradebooks, and online communications toolsAbility to teach effectively in both in-person and online learning environmentsStrong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work both independently and collaboratively in an academic settingDuties and Responsibilities:Teach college-level business courses in both in-person and online formats, fostering an engaging and inclusive learning environmentDevelop and deliver lesson plans aligned with established curriculum and course learning outcomesEvaluate and assess student performance based on course objectives using clear and consistent grading practicesProvide academic support, mentorship, and career guidance to students as neededMaintain regular office hours (on campus and/or virtually) and communicate professionally with students and colleaguesIncorporate current business practices, technologies, and industry trends into course contentUphold college policies related to attendance, academic integrity, and professionalismMaintain accurate course records, including attendance and grades, and submit required documentation by established deadlinesParticipate in department meetings, professional development, and college initiatives including occasional evening or weekend activitiesSchedule Needs:We are seeking candidates to teach a selection of the courses listed below, with a typical assignment of approximately 9 contact hours (3 courses per semester), based on the candidate's areas of expertise and instructional strengths. Classes are conducted Monday through Thursday as follows:Principles of MarketingOnlinePrinciples of AdvertisingTuesday at 5:30pmPrinciples of SalesOnlineProject ManagementSchedule TBDSalary:Salary is determined by a candidate's rank at SUNY Sullivan, based on teaching experience, education, etc. The full salary range is $655 to $740 per contact hour/course credit per semester.
