Responsibilities Manage daily cash flow operations, including cash management and banking transactions, to ensure liquidity and operational efficiency. Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections aligned with company policies. Conduct thorough financial analysis to identify discrepancies, trends, and opportunities for process improvements. Implement and monitor fraud prevention and detection strategies to protect company assets from financial crimes. Ensure compliance with securities law, GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act), and other regulatory reporting requirements. Support corporate accounting functions by preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and maintaining accurate records in financial software systems. Collaborate with internal teams on investment management activities, including monitoring investment portfolios and assessing financial concepts related to asset allocation. Assist with governmental accounting procedures and ensure adherence to relevant regulations governing public funds or governmental entities. Contribute to the development of technical accounting policies, ensuring alignment with industry standards and best practices within the financial services sector. Experience Proven experience in public accounting or a related role within investment management or financial services industries. Strong understanding of financial concepts such as securities law, regulatory reporting, corporate accounting, and investment analysis. Hands-on experience with financial software platforms used for accounting, reporting, and analysis purposes. Familiarity with fraud prevention techniques, banking procedures, cash management strategies, and governmental accounting standards. Knowledge of SOX compliance requirements and internal control frameworks to ensure operational integrity. Demonstrated ability to analyze complex financial data accurately while maintaining attention to detail under tight deadlines. Excellent communication skills combined with a proactive approach to problem-solving in fast-paced environments.
