Legal Billing Specialist Hybrid
OverviewA mid-sized Boston-based law firm is seeking a hands-on Legal Billing Specialist to oversee legal billing and invoicing operations in a collaborative and professional office environment. This position works closely with attorneys, managing partners, and external vendors while supporting the firm's ongoing operational infrastructure efforts. The role is ideal for a billing professional who can operate independently, manage multiple billing deadlines, and maintain a high level of accuracy and professionalism. ResponsibilitiesPrepare, generate, and manage attorney pre-bills for review and submission Maintain attorney time entries and billing data Submit invoices through multiple e-billing platforms Ensure compliance with client billing guidelines and LEDES requirements Resolve billing discrepancies and invoice rejections Track accounts receivable and outstanding invoices Coordinate with the firm's external bookkeeper and vendors Provide billing and administrative support to attorneys and managing partners QualificationsDemonstrated legal billing experience in a law firm or legal environment Experience with LEDES billing formats required Familiarity with platforms such as Tymetrix, Legal Tracker, Brightflag, TeamConnect, or similar systems preferred Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage billing deadlines independently Professional communication skills when interacting with attorneys, leadership, and vendors Compensation & BenefitsBase salary approximately $100,000 – $125,000, commensurate with experience Health insurance through Harvard Pilgrim with a small employee contribution Long-term disability coverage AD&D insurance 401(k) retirement plan 3 weeks of accrued vacation during the first year Hybrid flexibility after onboarding ScheduleFull-time position Hybrid schedule with approximately three remote days and two in-office days after onboarding Standard business hours with workflow tied to monthly billing cycles Salary: $100,000 - $125,000 Reference: 148619 Compensation: $100,000-$125,000 per year
