The firm averages $9 billion in transaction volume, manages more than 54 million square feet of space, and conducts 2,700 appraisal, consulting, and cost segregation assignments annually.Job SummaryThe Accounting Associate works to provide superior accounting support service to all Kidder Mathews Property Managers and Accountants in a courteous, professional, and efficient manner. This position works closely with other Asset Services Division employees in a supportive and collaborative team environment.Essential FunctionsAct as primary contact for all trust account banking relationships (including lockbox and Clickpay)Produce monthly tenant rent statements accurately and on timeProvide banking support for all managed properties including reconciliation, reporting, cash application and cash distributionMaintain vendors in both the Accounting Systems of Record and Avid ensuring accuracy and up to date informationApply cash receipts to tenant accounts within 24 hours of receiptRecord corporate revenue and maintain log weeklyAssist with preparation and mailing of weekly vendor paymentsReconcile and process credit card charges monthly, if applicableSort and distribute daily mailMaintain W-9s for vendors and property ownersAssist with the preparation of 1099 year end reports for all properties accurately and on timeProvide clerical support for special projects as assignedSet up new accounts accurately with all required information within 24 hours of receiving appropriate documentationPerform other duties or projects as requested or requiredESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
