Quality Control Inspector

Job Title: QC Inspector – AOIJob Function: Manufacturing QualityJob Summary:The QC Inspector – AOI operates the AOI machine, performs quality inspections using AOI, and provides AOI support. Reports to Quality Engineering Manager and is located in Newark, CAPrimary Job Responsibilities1. Operate the AOIResponsible on the entire AOI operation/line support activitiesReview AOI inspection for accurate, consistent detection of component placement and solder joint defectsWork closely with the processing and engineering teams to improve visual defect yields2. Perform AOI related quality inspection tasksInspect components or feature chips, ICs, joints, text, connectors, etc., using the AOI.Inspect PCBA’s and to IPC-A-610 standards, using magnification aids.Read and interpret assembly drawings, bills of material (BOMs), MPI, ECN, Deviation and other manufacturing documentation related to inspection.Load AOI programs per instructionsPerform AOI inspection for accurate, consistent detection of SMT paste, component placement, and solder joint defect3. Support engineers and production operators with equipment training, data collection and system evaluationsAssist engineers in data collection and engineering evaluationsDocument defectsInspect per IPC-A-610 standards using a microscopeSupport improvement initiatives and participates actively to improve work environment (5S)Other duties and responsibilities related to AOI Support and Production as assignedRequired Education Experience:Minimum 3 years of experience operating AOI equipmentHigh School DiplomaIPC-A-610 CertifiedKnowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 13485 & ESD
