DescriptionAre you a detail-driven professional who enjoys problem-solving and working behind the scenes to protect members' financial well-being? We're seeking a Bookkeeping Specialist for our Xtend Team to provide stand-in and daily bookkeeping services to our credit union partners through Xtend Bookkeeping. You'll contribute to evolving services related to exception processing and general ledger balancing. If accuracy, accountability, and financial integrity matter to you, this could be a great fit!What You'll DoComplete daily bookkeeping procedures for credit union clients in compliance with established policies and proceduresPost and balance journal entries for ACH, Share Draft, Credit Cards, ATM, and Corporate StatementsPrepare and deliver daily end-of-day reports reflecting general ledger statusCommunicate with credit union staff via Zendesk and email to obtain reports and resolve daily transaction needsPerform end-of-month close activities, including general ledger balancing and reconciliation reportingProvide backup and peer coverage for other Bookkeeping Specialists as neededAssist with stand-in service coverage when requested by credit unionsComplete special balancing projects approved by managementPerform Bookkeeping Associate duties for one credit union per quarter to maintain disaster recovery readinessComplete required annual ACH processing trainingPerform other duties as assignedWhat You BringHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredAssociate degree in a business-related field or equivalent work experience preferredExceptional attention to detail and accuracyAbility to exercise discretion when handling sensitive or confidential informationStrong visual acuity for close-range, detail-oriented workExcellent listening skills with the ability to follow detailed verbal instructionsProfessional, clear written and verbal communication skillsManual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for repetitive data entry and precise document handlingExperience with CU*BASE preferredDemonstrated initiative in expanding job knowledge, analytical skills, and understanding credit union operationsWhy You'll Love Working With UsOpportunity to support credit unions nationwide and make a meaningful impact for members while working in a collaborative environment aligned with cooperative values.
