Architectural Designer
Seeking a talented and experienced Revit/BIM Designer to join our expanding SoCAL office. Employee will assist in the technical delivery of Revit project deliverables, including architectural design sets ranging from Schematic Design all the way through Construction Documents. Designer will work closely with the Project Manager to analyze and apply best workflow practices and to produce a standardized Revit building model template for the firm. Designer will assist in the collaboration process throughout the project. Oversight and mentoring will be provided by management for the purpose of bringing the employee into a future management position overseeing modeling standards. Opportunities for growth within the company will be available.Roles & Responsibilities:Create, update and maintain architectural drawings and incorporate redlines and field markups into drawingsMust be familiar with building codes and building systemsMust be able to take on and complete tasks by yourself and/or with a teamAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work on multiple projects simultaneously while meeting strict deadlinesShould have strong communication skillsManage construction document preparation in Revit.Build Revit models through coordination with Client models using backgrounds from Architect.Draw details in Revit according to standard building practices and project design intent.Check for conflicts between the structure and elements defined by other members of the design team.Develop custom REX Developments Revit Families.The applicant will need to have strong interpersonal and organizational skills.Excellent verbal, written and decision making skills within the tasks of executing assignments for Rex Developments.Ability to work effectively in team environmentAssist other team members in learning modeler standards.Demonstrated supervisory, leadership, and communication skillsDemonstrated ability to deliver high quality through attention to detailGreat organizational skills and detail orientationQualifications:B.Arch Degree in Architecture (Professional 5-year), or M.S. Degree in Architecture (4-year), Master's Degree in Architecture or related field preferred.Minimum of 3 years of experience in architectural design development, construction documentation, and detailing on a wide variety of project typesMinimum of 3 years of experience with Autodesk Revit (Intermediate to Advanced Level)Knowledge with Microsoft Applications, including Office, Powerpoint, Excel (Intermediate to Advanced level)2-3 years minimum of experience working with Revit from schematic design through construction documents.Intermediate to Advanced level knowledge with the Revit API.Basic knowledge of construction and components.General knowledge of integrated architectural and engineering practices.Your nice to have'sKnowledge of AutoCAD, Bluebeam, PhotoShop, Enscape, AutoDesk Construction Cloud/BIM 360Knowledge of Dynamo for Revit a plus.Experience in Construction AdministrationPrevious experience with residential product types is preferredExperience with BIM360 (BIM Collaborate Pro)Experience with the operation of information technology systemsJob Type: Full-Time (30-40 Hours / Week) Opportunity for Full-Time after 45 day probationary period.
