Position:SPEECH AND LANGUAGE PATHOLOGISTType:PublicLocation:SuburbanJob ID:133063County:Northwest MaricopaPosted:March 13, 2026Contact Information:Washington Elementary School District4650 West Sweetwater AvenueGlendale, AZ 85304District WebsiteContact:Lydia GarciaPhone: 602-347-2622Fax:District EmailJob Description:Summary:Provide direct or consultative services to students to help reduce or eliminate disabilities related to speech and/or language in order to derive the full benefit from the district's educational programs.Essential Functions:Provides direct speech language therapy services to students including conducting thorough screenings, assessment and diagnosis of speech, voice, and language impairments; interprets results to parents and teachers and writes appropriate recommendations and reports.Develops, implements, and monitors Individualized Education Plans for students eligible for speech and language services.Collaborates with classroom teachers and other school staff members to implement therapy by making suggestions for the student's daily activities.Assists in proper referrals of individuals to agencies and specialists in the community, as appropriate.Provides information and support to parents and families when appropriate.Provides in-service education and serves as a consultant to teachers and school staff members on topics concerning speech services.Keeps thorough ongoing records for the individual student receiving therapy or other school provided speech services.Participates in professional growth activities.Establishes and maintains good rapport with students, employees, community members and vendors.Maintains a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality.Other job related duties as assignedOther:ANNUAL SALARY: $71,000 - $93,000* $2,500 Stipend for valid Certificate of Clinical Competence* $3,000 Stipend for Bilingual ProvisionRequired Qualifications:To be eligible for this position, an applicant must meet the following required qualifications. In addition, verification of these required qualifications is necessary.Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology.Current Arizona Standard Speech-Language Pathologist Certification from the Arizona Department of Education.Current Arizona Department of Health Speech Language Pathologist License.American Hearing and Speech Association Clinical Certification of Competence preferred.Obtain and maintain a valid Arizona Identity Verified Prints (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card (AZ IVP FPCC).
