Maintenance Technician
DescriptionThe SEWS - KCSC Maintenance Technician will maintain and repair all warehouse and facility equipment as required; perform preventive maintenance on equipment as needed; perform project work as assigned (kaizen, equipment improvement, etc.); will install equipment as needed and other duties as assigned my supervisor.ResponsibilitesMaintain and PM baler and pallet auger.Maintain, PM, and water pallet jacks, stock pickers, and forkliftsAssist with installations and repair of safety items such as guardrail, clean out drains, signage, etc.Routine Fire Pump inspections/churns and fire extinguisher inspectionsReplacement of warehouse equipment as needed (Battery Backups, PC's, cameras, troubleshooting, repack table equipment, etc.)Minor plumbing repairsInspections and repair of 36 dock doors and associated equipment though out the buildingMaintenance of pallet rollers and other material handling equipmentRoof inspections-patch as needed along with annual gutter cleanout.Perform preventative maintenance or repair for all warehouse material handling equipment.Inspect fire/safety equipment on a monthly basis to include exit and emergency lighting, fire suppression system, electrical equipment and panels.Assist with outside contractors when needed. Performs general facilities duties such checking for damage/leaks, changing lights, minor alterations/fabrications, ordering material for general warehouse repairs.Checks and waters forklift batteries. Tags and schedules forklifts for needed repair.Assists with other duties as assigned.Requirements1-3 years of maintenance experience requiredKnowledge of and experience servicing hydraulic equipment, electrical systems, and material handling equipmentAbility to lift, bend, and otherwise meet physical requirements of the positionAvailable to work overtime as scheduled (daily and Saturdays)Two year Technical Degree is requiredAbout Sumitomo Electric Wiring Systems, Inc.Sumitomo Electric Wiring Systems, Inc.
