This role manages warehouse staff, coordinates with third-party logistics providers, freight partners, ensuring efficient product movement inbound and outbound and maintain accurate inventory visibility.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise daily warehouse operations and lead 8 union employeesManage inbound container receipt in our Chicago warehouses (5–7 containers weekly)Coordinate unloading, storage, and inventory movementMaintain accurate product flow visibility across warehouse and 3PL locationsCommunicate with freight forwarders and third-party logistics providersWork with overseas factories regarding shipment schedulesMonitor shipping performance across LTL and parcel carriersMaintain ERP inventory accuracyAnalyze warehouse data using ExcelManage and monitor all Quality Control issues, including resolving packaging and all quality control issuesImprove warehouse efficiency and operational processesCompetenciesAnalytical: Synthesizes complex or diverse information; collects and researches data; uses intuition and experience to complement data; designs workflows and proceduresProblem Solving: Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; gathers and analyzes information skillfully; develops alternative solutions; works well in group problem-solving situations; uses reason, even when dealing with emotional topicsTechnical Skills: Assesses own strengths and weaknesses; pursues training and development opportunities; strives to continuously build knowledge and skills; shares expertise with othersStrategic Thinking: Develops strategies to achieve organizational goals; understands organization’s strengths and weaknesses; adapts strategy to changing conditionsProfessionalism: Approaches others in a tactful manner; reacts well under pressure; treats others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position; accepts responsibility for own actions; follows through with urgencyPreferred QualificationsWarehouse management experience in import / distribution environmentERP system experience Intermediate Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables)Strong logistics and inventory mindsetSpanish language ability is helpfulQuality control experienceAbility to manage multiple moving parts in a fast-paced environmentIdeal Candidate TraitsStrong communicatorData-orientedProcess-mindedHands-on operational leaderComfortable balancing warehouse floor activity with reporting and coordinationBenefitsWe offer solid benefits to our employees.
