OSP Construction Foreman

Location: Columbia, SCTower Engineering Professionals is seeking a full-time OSP Construction Foreman in our Columbia, SC office. As an operator, you will serve as an integral member of our construction team. Tower Engineering Professionals offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical and dental insurance, paid vacation and holidays, 401k with company match, and a relaxed, fun environment.Mini Excavator Equipment Operator Responsibilities:Performing routine equipment checks and maintenanceSpotting existing utilities in the work right of wayInstalling communication vaults and conduit trenchingRecognize safety hazards and perform duties in a safe mannerAct as a team lead and mentor to less experienced Construction Field TechniciansPerform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.Ensuring sites are kept clean and safe.Attend weekly safety meetingsMini Excavator Equipment Operator Qualifications:Must have High school diploma or equivalentMust have 2+ years of experience working in civil constructionMust be at least 21 years old, have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record dating back 5 years to operate a company vehicleMust have experience with all aspects of telecommunication construction including installing conduits, hand hole vaults, fiber installation and small pole foundationsMust be able to use a mini-ex, skidsteer and digger derrickMust have experience with customer interfacing and problem resolutionMust maintain level of excellence in crew’s quality of work and mindsetAbility to use and care of hand tools and mechanical equipmentWillingness to take hands on approach in leading their team through demonstrationKnowing the hazards associated with construction equipment, and working on or near energized lines and equipmentAbility to lift up to 75lbsExcellent oral and written communication skillsHighly organized and be able to effectively report verbally and written reports back to Project ManagerSalary is commensurate with experienceEqual Opportunity Employer M/F/Veterans/Disabilities
