Model-Based System Engineer

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Model-Based Systems Engineer (MBSE) to support advanced aerospace and defense initiatives in Seattle, WA. This role will contribute to the development of complex, highly integrated systems with a focus on digital engineering and autonomy, supporting Department of Defense (DoD) programs.Responsibilities for the Model-Based Systems Engineer include:Support MBSE implementation and digital engineering strategy across system development programsWork with engineering teams to support system design, modeling, and integration effortsPerform requirements analysis, system architecture development, and trade studiesDevelop and maintain SysML models using tools such as Cameo/MSOSASupport verification, validation, and test planning activitiesCollaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment with program requirements and delivery timelinesQualifications for the Model-Based Systems Engineer include:Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field5+ years of relevant engineering experience (or 3+ years with Master’s)Experience with MBSE tools (Cameo, MagicDraw) and SysML modelingUnderstanding of systems engineering processes and lifecycle methodologiesStrong analytical and communication skillsPrevious Experience with Avionics PreferredActive Secret Clearance requiredCompensation for the Model-Based Systems Engineer includes:Salary Range: $120,000 – $170,000 depending on experienceComprehensive Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), PTO, and Sick Leave as required by lawThis job opens for applications on 3/20/2026.
