Project Engineer

Job Description:Client is seeking an experienced E&C Engineer to support capital projects at wind farms across the region. This role focuses on end‑to‑end project engineering and project management for multiple renewable energy projects, primarily wind facilities. The engineer will independently manage a portfolio of approximately a dozen projects per year while collaborating closely with Operations & Maintenance teams and external contractors. This is a great opportunity to work on large-scale renewable energy infrastructure in a high-autonomy, project-driven environment. What They Will Be Doing / Working OnPlan, schedule, and execute capital projects at wind farm facilitiesManage full project lifecycle, including budgeting, forecasting, and timelinesOrder equipment and coordinate with vendors and contractorsCollaborate with Wind Operations & Maintenance (O&M) teams to align prioritiesPerform limited R&D to evaluate and select optimal equipment solutionsOversee quality, cost, and schedule adherence for assigned projectsMaintain and manage a multi-year (approximately 5-year) project portfolioTravel to wind farm sites during construction phases to oversee installations (10–15%, occasionally up to 20%) TeamPart of client's Renewables organizationWorks closely with Wind Operations & Maintenance and the broader Renewables project teamInitially reports to with potential transition to another manager as the group evolvesIndependent, frontline contributor with high ownership and minimal day-to-day oversight Interview ProcessTwo rounds of interviewsInterview format: Microsoft Teams (virtual)Interviewers include the hiring manager and one additional team member Must Have SkillsEngineering degree (Mechanical or Electrical preferred; other engineering disciplines considered)3–7 years of relevant engineering or project management experienceExperience managing multiple projects simultaneouslyStrong communication skills for cross‑functional and multi‑site coordinationAbility to work independently with high ownership and accountability Nice to HaveRenewable energy experience (especially wind)PMP certificationProfessional Engineer (PE) licenseExperience with wind turbine OEMs (e.g., Vestas, GE) or on-site wind operationsExposure to other renewables (solar, hydro, battery storage)
