Helicopter Turbine Engine Technician
Aerotek on behalf of it's client is seeking A&P mechanics in a Turbine Engine shop overhauling helicopter engines. Great opportunity with a leading heavy lift helo company, opportunities to grow into other roles, join field teams (with A&P), have a long career and retirement.Description:Working in a bench repair and testing environment, technician will disassemble, troubleshoot, repair, reassemble, test, and certify systems and related units for heavy-lift helicopters.Technician will read and interprets maintenance manuals, clean and inspect engines, engine components and component parts for damage and wear using visual examination and special tooling and equipment. Replace or repair damaged and worn engine parts and component parts using general hand tools, special tools, pneumatic tools and precision measuring equipment, reassemble, performs tests and/or checks as required to confirm engine or engine component serviceability.Document all inspection findings and work performed/corrective action in the appropriate maintenance records.Skills:Engine, Repair, A&P, Aircraft maintenance, Troubleshooting, A&P license, Aircraft engine, Engine maintenanceAdditional Skills & Qualifications:Experience in servicing and repair of helicopter turbine engines and related systemsMilitary or commercial turbine engine maintenance and/or component maintenance training preferred (Army MOS 15B)Experience Level:Intermediate LevelAbout Aerotek:We know that a company's success starts with its employees.
