DescriptionJob Overview:The Human Resource Coordinator will perform administrative tasks and services to support the effective and efficient operations of the HR Department. The HR Coordinator will assist applicants and current employees in all areas of HR. The resulting creation of wealth will grow opportunities for all.Duties and Responsibilities:Maintain a professional office presence for all internal and external visitors to the HR officeMaintain all personnel files and I-9 recordsMonitor, delegate, and respond to emails in the general HR inboxAnswers, screens, and directs phone calls appropriately; refers to the proper manager for handling and assists directly with routine inquiriesManages clerical and administrative functions, prepares, types, photocopies, faxes correspondence, letters, memos, reports, engagement material, databases, meeting agendas, minutes, and calendarsInputs data into HR systems including, but not limited to, the HRIS, UKG, and JOBVITEPerforms periodic audits of HR records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriatelyAssists with organizing human resource department functions and recognition (i.e., birthday cards, team building events, etc.)Assist with reviewing and finalizing occupational license applicationsNotarize license applications and other documents as neededOther duties and responsibilities as assignedJob Requirements: (please ensure you meet the listed requirements before applying )High School diploma or GED required or currently enrolled and complete a GED program within six (6) months from start date as a condition of continued employmentBachelor's degree in Business, HR, or related field or equivalent AND six (6) months of experience in Human Resources - required OR Associate's degree in Business or related field or equivalent AND one (1) year of experience in Human Resources- requiredSHRM CP or SCP; HRCI-PHR or SPHR certifications desirableExcellent data entry, typing, and MS Outlook skills (skills test to be administered, 70% skills pass rate)- requiredMust have excellent organizational and administrative skills- requiredExperience with conducting presentations at all levels of the organization- requiredDemonstrated ability and skills in planning and maintaining composure under pressure while meeting multiple deadlinesMust possess a flexible and engaging communication style and the ability to demonstrate good interpersonal skills with members of the organization at all levelsMust possess a high level of maturity and the ability to maintain confidentialityMust have a valid and current State Driver's License and an insurable driving record for purposes of driving company vehicles as requiredWilling to work odd and irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidaysWilling to travel and participate in training as recommended or requiredMust have an Occupational License (or the ability to obtain and maintain a license) pursuant to the Illinois Gaming Act and remain in good standing with the Illinois Gaming Board as a requirement for this position.Base Pay: Pay range - $18.45 - $22.75 (The base pay will depend on factors such as experience level and skillset.)Voluntary full-time benefit offerings include the following - group medical, dental, vision, and life insurance as well as access to a flexible spending account (FSA) option.
