In-house Counsel Environmental Attorney

Warren Recruiting’s client, a publicly traded company, is seeking an Environmental Counsel to join its legal team in a newly created, high-impact role supporting operations across the U.S.This is a unique opportunity to help build and shape the environmental legal function while working closely with business and operational leadership.The position is open to remote candidates, with a preference for those open to relocation to Texas.Key Responsibilities:• Advise on environmental regulatory compliance (CAA, CWA, RCRA, CERCLA)• Support permitting and operational strategy across multiple jurisdictions• Manage environmental litigation and outside counsel• Partner closely with operations, engineering, and compliance teams• Interface with state, federal, and local regulatorsQualifications:• 5+ years of environmental law experience• Strong background in federal and state environmental regulations• Experience with solid waste, landfills, transfer stations, or recycling operations preferred• Practical, business-oriented approach with strong communication skillsWhy this role:• Newly created position with the opportunity to build and shape a key function• Strong growth potential as the role and team evolve• High visibility with direct interaction across business units• Meaningful impact on operational and regulatory strategy• Opportunity to work on complex, real-world environmental matters
