Controller

The ideal candidate will be comfortable being on-site and hands-on in the daily process management of the general accounting function for the organization. Responsibility for ensuring accurate account reconciliations, related journal entries, supporting month-end and year end close procedures. They will assist the VP of Finance in supporting the financial operations and reporting for a well-established service company near Sumter, SC.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the day-to-day general ledger management and month end close processGenerate financial reports for senior leadershipMonitor and analyze balance sheets, accounts payable and accounts receivable as well as the revenue/expense activitiesMaintain compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirementsSupport VP of Finance in all financial matters of the organizationQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting or relevant field5+ years experience in accountingStrong technical, analytical, communication and presentation skillsExceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented and collaborative environmentProficient in Microsoft Office suite, specifically intermediate Excel functions and tools
