Title: Cloud EngineerLocation: Raleigh, NC - Only local to the Triangle regionDuration: 12+ monthsJob Description:The primary focus of this role is to help the Infrastructure Team understand the architecture and serve as a bridge between the internal team and vendors, leveraging expertise in cloud infrastructure, networking, storage, and security.The complexity of these responsibilities is essential to support the building of a cloud environment from scratch so that enterprise systems can be placed in the cloud. The team has an aggressive schedule to support ongoing modernization efforts.Role/ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop software solutions for cloud-based operating systems.Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using DevOps methodologies and version control, with a descriptive model to define and deploy infrastructure such as networks, virtual machines, load balancers, and connection topologies.Provide a reliable and scalable platform for developers to build and deploy applications.Design, implement, and manage cloud network infrastructure, including the deployment and configuration of cloud-based network solutions to ensure high performance, reliability, and security.Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to understand and implement cloud architecture and infrastructure requirements.Support cloud infrastructure networking, storage, security, scalability, and performance optimization.Required SkillsSkillRequired / DesiredYears of ExperienceThorough knowledge of DevOps principles, practices, and toolsRequired7 YearsKnowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)Required7 YearsThorough knowledge of cloud infrastructure best practices, including security, scalability, and performance optimizationRequired7 YearsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsRequired7 Years
