Position Title: TemporaryPatternmakerReporting to Title: Head of Design Studio & Atelier OperationsSummary: The Temporary Pattern Maker supports the Design and Product Development teams by translating creative concepts into precise, production-ready digital patterns. This role is responsible for ensuring the designer's vision is accurately interpreted and executed through expert pattern-making techniques and collaboration across teams. The ideal candidate combines technical skill with an eye for detail, ensuring each sample reflects the intended fit, proportion, and design integrity.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Develop and create patterns utilizing Design team's sketches as guidesProvide feedback and suggest alternatives to ensure sketch can be translated into a patternEnsure the overall vision and design details are interpreted correctly and realistically in samplesCreates and develops digital patterns to support design and product development processesAdvise sewers on necessary steps and techniques to create the sample accuratelyInspect finished samples to ensure pattern accuracy, advise on changesPosition requirements:8+ years of experience in patternmaking in high end, designer runway brandsProficiency in digital pattern making is requiredTailoring experience requiredExcellent draping and/or flat patternmaking skillsStrong fabric knowledgeStrong communication skillsAbility to work well in a high-pressure environmentWorking knowledge of Gerber technologyWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer M/D/F/VIn compliance with the New York City salary transparency requirements, the potential salary for this position is from $65 to $70 per hour, which represents a range commensurate with experience, knowledge, and skills required.
