🚗 Sensor System Validation Engineer – Autonomous Vehicles📍 Foster City, CA (Hybrid/Onsite – Minimum 3 Days Per Week)💰 $79.50/Hour W2📋 Contract Opportunity❌ No C2C | No Sponsorship AvailableSource One Technical Solutions is seeking a Sensor System Validation Engineer to support a cutting-edge autonomous mobility company developing next-generation self-driving vehicle technology.This role is ideal for engineers with experience validating sensor systems, perception technologies, robotics, autonomous vehicles, or advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). You'll work alongside systems, software, and hardware engineers to verify and validate lidar, camera, and radar systems that power autonomous vehicle platforms.Key Responsibilities:• Support verification and validation (V&V) activities for lidar, camera, and radar systems• Develop and refine validation methodologies for advanced sensor architectures• Design and execute simulation-based test plans to validate system requirements and performance• Translate scenario-based requirements into data mining and validation strategies• Create and maintain validation datasets for sensor performance evaluation• Develop software pipelines that convert sensor data into meaningful KPIs and performance metrics• Build reusable analysis tools, validation software, and test automation frameworks using Python and/or C++• Analyze large-scale datasets to identify trends, validate system behavior, and support engineering decisions• Contribute to continuous improvements in validation processes, tooling, and automationRequired Qualifications:✔ Ph.D. in a relevant engineering discipline OR Master's degree with 3+ years of sensor/perception system experience✔ Experience with one or more sensing modalities: Camera, LiDAR, or Radar✔ Strong data analysis and data mining experience✔ Experience with Python, C++, MATLAB, SQL, PySpark, Scala, or similar technologies✔ Experience validating complex systems through testing and analysis✔ Strong communication and collaborationskillsPreferred Qualifications:• Autonomous vehicle, robotics, perception, or ADAS experience• Systems Engineering Verification & Validation(V&V)• Sensor simulation, synthetic data generation, or faultinjection• Test automation and validation framework development• Workflow orchestration and large-scale data processing environments
