K-12 Physical Education/Health Teacher
Ar-We-Va Community School is a small, rural district with exceptional community pride, dedicated educators, and outstanding students serving the towns of Arcadia, Westside, and Vail. Certified enrollment for PK-12 is approximately 245 students. The district partial grade shares 9th-12th grade students with the Carroll Community School District.
Position: Anticipated K-12 Physical Education Teacher/Health Education
Basic Function: To plan, organize and present instruction and instructional environments that teach students to access and analyze information while engaging student's curiosity and imagination when learning subject matter and skills that will empower all students to become productive, responsible citizens of an ever-changing global society.
Requirements:
State of Iowa Teaching License in Physical Education and Health Education K-12
Ability to work with students, teachers, and parents
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
Submit to a criminal background check
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in physical education teaching
Demonstrates positive interpersonal relationships and works cooperatively with students, parents and staff.
