DevOps Applications Engineer
Key Responsibilities Infrastructure Management: Design, build, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines to automate application deployment and infrastructure setup.
Configuration Management: Implement configuration management best practices using tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
Collaboration: Work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
Monitoring & Optimization: Set up monitoring and logging systems to ensure application performance and reliability. Optimize system performance through continuous analysis and fine-tuning.
Security & Compliance: Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices, including implementing security measures to protect applications and infrastructure.
Problem Resolution: Diagnose and resolve issues in application environments, providing support during system outages and performance degradation.
Mentoring: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior DevOps engineers and other team members.
Professional & Technical Skills Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps. Experience with container orchestration tools like Kubernetes and Docker.
Cloud Platforms: Expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Scripting Languages: Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or similar languages.
Version Control: Proficient in version control systems, notably Git.
Qualifications Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a DevOps role, with extensive experience in managing IT applications and infrastructure.
Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related fields.
Certifications: Relevant DevOps or cloud certifications are preferred.
