Firmware Engineer

We are hiring a Firmware Engineer to own the device firmware stack for a battery-powered consumer hardware product. This is a hands-on role for someone who has shipped production firmware for connected devices and has strong experience with power optimization, device reliability, and end-to-end firmware ownership.ResponsibilitiesOwn the firmware stack end to end, from hardware bring-up through OTA updates and ongoing device support.Optimize battery performance for low-power operation and extend device life through careful firmware and system-level tuning.Debug and stabilize sensor behavior to improve overall device performance and reliability.Build and maintain robust OTA update workflows to support safe, scalable device updates in the field.Partner closely with hardware and software teams to ensure reliable device operation, telemetry, and production readiness.Requirements4+ years of embedded or firmware engineering experience.Strong proficiency in C for embedded systems.Experience optimizing power on battery-powered devices.Experience building and operating robust OTA systems for connected devices.Hands-on background with consumer hardware, such as wearables or other connected physical products.Familiarity with video and audio pipelines.Experience with the Realtek Ameba Pro 2 platform.Degree in Electrical Engineering or another related hardware-focused field.
