Whether you will spend your day brainstorming in an office cubicle, operating a crane, running manufacturing equipment or troubleshooting technical obstacles, at CMC, you'll get the training and support from your team that you need to excel in your role and reach your full potential.What You'll DoMonitor shop performance and processes daily for operation within established parametersDetermine causes for deviation and recommend correctionsProvide reporting daily, weekly and monthly to document Mill performance against established key performance indicatorsInvestigate and recommend process, procedure, training or equipment needs to continually improve performanceWork with department and shift managers to optimize personnel and process execution for consistent performance and continuous process improvementWork with Quality Assurance Department to monitor product quality and identify and correct any deviationsWork with Training Department to develop and assist teaching operator development classesInteract with company personnel resources external to plant about process performance and improvementInitiate communication with resources external to company (suppliers and contractors) for consistency and improvement initiativesWhat You'll NeedBasic knowledge of the rolling process preferredStrong communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbalHighly technical, detail oriented, organized and self-starterWillingness and ability to work hands-on in the shop with operators on flexible schedulesYour Education* Bachelor's Degree in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline required.We are CMC, a Fortune 500 company at the leading edge of our industry.
