Psychiatric Emergency Services RN

This Registered Nurse position involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in a psychiatric emergency department, with potential duties on the inpatient psychiatric unit. The RN collaborates with the healthcare team, supervises non-RN staff, and provides patient and family education. Key responsibilities include maintaining a safe environment, managing crises, and ensuring individualized care plans are followed and adjusted as needed. The role requires a nursing degree, CT RN licensure, BLS, CPI within 6 months, and preferably psychiatric or ED experience. The RN may also serve as a preceptor and float to other units, supporting departmental operations and patient safety.
