Med/Surg experience required. Must complete all assigned modules prior to start date. Attendance at staff meetings is required. Description: Position is for a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse. The role involves working night shifts, 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM. Patient ratios are 1:6 to 1:7. Every other weekend is required. Floating within scope to meet facility needs is expected. Experience preferred includes telemetry and interpretation and management of dysrhythmias. Candidates must have skills in colostomy care, pre/post hemodialysis management, and feeding tube care. The facility is a short-term acute care hospital with a daily census of around 36 patients. The patient population includes adults and geriatrics with a variety of diagnoses. Travelers should be aware that assignments may shift during hurricane season, which lasts from June to November. All requirements must be met prior to the start date.
