Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer
For our client, we are seeking a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Education, Government & Non-Profit space. This role will help build and improve software that supports meaningful outcomes for learners and educators in a mission-driven environment. You will work across the stack on modern web applications, partnering closely with product, design, and education stakeholders to deliver accessible, user-friendly experiences. The position also calls for strong ownership of production code, thoughtful engineering judgment, and a collaborative mindset in a fast-paced setting.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $120,000 – $145,000 annually
Responsibilities:
Write, test, and ship code across the stack using React, TypeScript, Node.js, and AWS Own the code you ship, including monitoring, debugging, and incident response Improve the codebase with a focus on clarity, maintainability, and pragmatic tradeoffs Mentor and elevate the skills of fellow engineers through code reviews and pairing Engage with AI tools to enhance productivity while maintaining good judgment Collaborate with product managers, designers, and education experts to create user-friendly software
Qualifications:
BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent training 5+ years of professional full-stack software development experience Strong understanding of software design principles and modern engineering practices 5+ years of hands-on experience with React for frontend development 5+ years of hands-on experience with Node.js for backend development Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and thrive in a collaborative environment Genuine passion for education products and commitment to equitable tools for learners
