Hardware Engineer

They operate as a prime contractor delivering directly to government entities. Having started as an R&D design firm, the company maintains a heavy R&D focus with rapid development, soft ops, and expendable/autonomous vehicle development programs. Size:Over 250 employees and growing (transitioning toward a manufacturing focus). Location:Irvine, CA. Reporting Line:Reports to the Electrical Engineering Manager. Employment Type:Contract-to-hire Status:Ramping up for several programs in development; launched five new products last year with more upcoming. Schedule:Potential for a hybrid arrangement after 90 days, as determined by the manager and workload; requires a willingness to work additional hours during surge periods as needed. Qualifications Education:Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline. Experience:3–5 years of experience in designing robotic, unmanned, or avionics systems. Technical Skills:Circuit and subsystem design,system integration, troubleshooting, wire harness design, electromechanical/electrical system testing, and data analysis. Hands-on Experience:Proficiency withmicrocontrollers and firmware/software. Team Environment:Ability and experience working in small R&D teams that have introduced New Product Introductions (NPI) into manufacturing. Compliance:M ust be familiar with MIL-spec hardware and harnessing standards . Clearance:Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a Security Clearance. Responsibilities Collaborate with the team to design and build subsystems, hardware, and software for robotic systems.
