The Company has grown significantly and now operates Staff Counsel Offices across several States including Arizona, Alabama, California, Colorado, Georgia, Illinois, Nevada, New Mexico and Texas.JOB DESCRIPTION:General Duties:Handle and manage litigation files from inception through trial, with reduced caseload in order to manage the officePrepare pleadings, discovery, motions, demands and responsesDraft reports and provide file analysisHandle litigation and other legal assignments in accordance with guidelines established for Staff Counsel for Fred Loya Insurance Agency, Inc., and the Loya Insurance GroupResponsibilities:Represent clients in civil court and civil litigation proceedings, including trialsPrepare and draft legal pleadings and other documents on behalf of clientsAdvise clients on legal transactions relating to civil defense proceedingsNegotiate settlements for legal disputesComply with all legal standards and regulationsPerform administrative and management functions related to the practice of lawSkills necessary for this position:Superior awareness of and compliance with all applicable rules of professional conductComprehensive legal knowledge which promotes standards of professional practice and strong knowledge of the litigation environment in CaliforniaQualifications:Member in good standing with the State Bar of CaliforniaAdmission of CA BarCivil litigation and/or trial experience is preferredFamiliarity with civil pleadings and legal proceedingsStrong research and writing skills and excellent work ethic requiredExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offRetirement planVision insuranceWork Location: In person
