Work is performed for ODOT, various counties, cities and townships throughout Northeast Ohio.Position SummaryThis is a full-time position for a Heavy Highway Construction Project Manager located in Stow, Ohio. The Heavy Highway Construction Project Manager will be responsible for providing leadership while being in communication with staff and supervisors. The Heavy Highway Construction Project Manager must have experience in the industry as well as preferred experience working on Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) projects.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesUnderstands the drawings, plans, specifications, and any project milestone/completion dates Responsible for developing a project strategy to complete the project on time and under budget Project start up, continued project management and supervision, project completion, and assists with project close-out Ensure that the project goals are accomplished, contractual time frames are met, and the overall project finishes under budget Proficient in CPM-based project schedules Ongoing Planning, scheduling, coordinating with project staff, subcontractors and the project agency Responsible for managing contractual issues Provide leadership Identify and communicate potential issues to Project Superintendents and come up with solutions to ensure the success of the project Review of contract drawings and plans to help develop a strategy to complete the project on time and under budget Formulate RFI’s Required Knowledge, Skills And AbilitiesUnderstands the drawings, plans, specifications, and any project milestone/completion dates Responsible for developing a project strategy to complete the project on time and under budget Project start up, continued project management and supervision, project completion, and assists with project close-out Ensure that the project goals are accomplished, contractual time frames are met, and the overall project finishes under budget Proficient in CPM-based project schedules Ongoing Planning, scheduling, coordinating with project staff, subcontractors and the project agency Responsible for managing contractual issues Provide leadership Identifies and communicates potential issues to Program Superintendents and comes up with solutions to ensure the success of the project Reviews contract drawings and plans to help develop a strategy to complete the project on time and under budget.
