IT Procurement Specialist

You come back from lunch, ready to start your daily to-do list. Just as you settle in the Teams phone rings. It is the installation department. Intrigued, you pick up the call. It seems that the project for the Acme Corp. has been moved up by three weeks. Since you order JIT, most of the parts were not yet sourced and ordered. You tell the installation team that you will get things moving along this afternoon and hang up the call. You shake your head, smile and set your status to DND. It is time to do what you do best ... make it happen. About you Who: A motivated procurement specialist with 3-5 years experience. Heavy emphasis on experience in information technology goods and products. What: A flexible, determined, and capable teammate. When: Available to start working full-time in the next 3 weeks or so. Where: Monday-Friday, 8 AM - 5PM, in Lockport IL. How: Sourcing the right parts at the right price and getting them to the right place at the right time. Your Team You will work as part of a growing MSP in the southwest suburbs of Chicago Illinois. You will work alongside the quoting specialist and invoicing specialist. Your direct supervisor will be the Director of Client Operations. How you will contribute You will leverage your experience, skills, and determination to help the company negotiate the issues related to getting the right parts to the right place at the right time. The skills you will need: Experience in procurement processes. Experience with the information technology (IT) industry. The ability to keep things organized as the daily workflow tries to pull you in many different directions. Attention to detail when doing work related to receiving, tracking, and staging parts. The ability to lift objects such as PCs, printers, UPS devices. About Us: Who: We are a nearly 30-year-old technology service company.
