Engineering Manager/Director

The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, data-driven solutions and is skilled in implementing agile methodologies to enhance team productivity and project delivery times.Key Responsibilities:Leadership & Team Development: Build, mentor, and lead a diverse team of over 40 engineers, fostering an inclusive culture that encourages innovation and collaboration.Project Management: Oversee the complete software development life cycle (SDLC), ensuring alignment with business objectives and maintaining high standards of product excellence from ideation to deployment.Data Platform Architecture: Design and implement highly scalable data platforms utilizing multi-cloud infrastructures (AWS and GCP), ensuring optimal performance and cost efficiency.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner effectively with business, product management, and data science teams to identify opportunities and define project priorities that drive revenue growth.Technology Integration: Explore and integrate emerging technologies to solve complex challenges and optimize operational efficiencies, while maintaining compliance with data privacy regulations (CCPA and GDPR).Code Contribution: Actively participate in coding, code reviews, and design discussions, dedicating 20-30% of your time to hands-on engineering tasks.Performance Optimization: Conduct root-cause analysis of production issues, implement changes to meet SLAs, and optimize data usage across teams to reduce operational costs.Key Accomplishments:Successfully architected and executed high-quality software solutions within diverse multi-cloud infrastructures, resulting in substantial operational cost reductions and high availability.Delivered large-scale engineering projects on time by leading cross-functional international teams and maintaining a focus on customer-centric products.Streamlined processes and promoted the use of a centralized data lake, resulting in significant savings in storage and processing costs.Insurance Industry experience preferred.
