*Looking for Data Collection Moderators [LOC] Speaker – Location: Remote*
*Join Our Moderator Team – Power Next-Generation AI Through Real-World Data Collection!*
*Role Overview*
Moderators are responsible for running daily data collection sessions on video call. You will work under the guidance of a Project Coordinator or Project Manager to prepare each session's setup, manage participants, and oversee recording quality. Moderator initiates, observes, pauses, shares feedback, reviews, and requests a re-record if needed. This role requires professionalism, reliability, strong listening skills, and comfort interacting with participants from diverse backgrounds.
Do you have great communication skills, enjoy meeting new people, and thrive in hands-on, fast-paced environments? We're seeking Moderators to join the *Verdi Juniper Project* — a large-scale, multilingual AI data collection initiative.
This project involves running *remote, online recording sessions* with 1–4 participants per session, collecting multimodal data (audio and video) of natural bilingual conversation — including *code switching* (participants naturally mixing English words/phrases into their language conversation). You'll play a key role in making sure sessions run smoothly, participants feel comfortable, and recordings meet quality and language standards.
*Responsibilities*
* Host and run remote recording sessions, following defined project protocols.
* Set up and manage the recording platform for each session.
* Guide participants through onboarding, consent, and session instructions.
* Oversee recording quality, including checking that sessions reflect natural bilingual conversation with code switching.
* Provide feedback and request re-recording when a take doesn't meet standards.
* Track participant progress and session details for reporting.
* Handle scheduling issues such as no-shows or last-minute changes.
* Review transcripts for correctness and audio match.
* Upload and transfer recordings and session data to the central system after each session.
* Maintain professionalism, punctuality, and a respectful, welcoming demeanor with all participants.
*Qualifications*
* Any above language speaker of the target language, fluent in English.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills; friendly, respectful, and patient demeanor.
* Reliable and punctual — able to manage a full daily schedule of back-to-back sessions responsibly.
* Comfortable with video call platforms and following detailed technical/procedural instructions.
* Previous experience in customer service, moderating/facilitating, research studies, or field operations preferred.
* Must be authorized to work remotely.
*Availability*
* Flexible scheduling; full-time or part-time depending on business needs.
* Must be available for occasional weekend or extended-hour sessions.
*Important Notes*
* Must complete onboarding and training — including code-switching evaluation criteria and QA standards — before starting production work.
* Must comply with all data privacy, safety, and consent protocols.
* Reliability is critical — consistent attendance, timeliness, and care with recordings/output files are essential. (Repeated lateness, no-shows, or loss of digital assets will result in replacement or removal.)
* Agencies are responsible for ensuring their candidates meet all behavioral, skill, and professionalism standards listed above.
