EH&S Manager – Manufacturing / Chemical

Position: Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) ManagerLocation: Plaquemine, LA (Onsite)Duration: 2 months contractPay Rate range: $48/hour on W2 - $50/hour on W2 (No per diem)OverviewWe are seeking an experienced EH&S Manager to lead and support environmental, health, and safety compliance and programs at a manufacturing/industrial site. This role will be responsible for driving EH&S performance, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting a strong safety culture across the site.Key ResponsibilitiesLead implementation and continuous improvement of EH&S management systems and programsEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental and safety regulationsManage environmental programs including air, water, and waste complianceSupport and lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actionsOversee permit management, including regulatory permits and internal work permitsSupport Management of Change (MOC) processes and compliance initiativesConduct audits, inspections, and gap assessments to ensure program effectivenessDevelop and deliver EH&S training programs for employees and contractorsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in safety performanceMaintain EH&S documentation, reports, and compliance recordsAct as a point of contact for regulatory agencies and compliance mattersRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Safety, Engineering, or related field5+ years of EH&S experience in manufacturing, chemical, refinery, or industrial environmentsStrong knowledge of:OSHA regulationsEnvironmental compliance (air, water, waste)Experience with:Incident investigation & root cause analysisAudits and inspectionsEH&S program implementationPreferred QualificationsExperience with ISO 14001 / ISO 45001Knowledge of Management of Change (MOC) and Process Safety Management (PSM)Prior experience in chemical, petrochemical, or heavy industrial environmentsStrong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skillsWhy Join UsOpportunity to lead EH&S initiatives in a dynamic industrial environmentCollaborative team culture with strong safety focusCompetitive compensation and career growth opportunitiesGTech is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to creating a diverse environment.
