Travel Occupational Therapist - Acute Care Hospital

American Traveler is hiring a travel Occupational Therapist for an acute care hospital position requiring a minimum of 1 year of acute care experience and BLS certification.Job Details• Acute care hospital setting,• Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM,• Epic is the charting system used throughout the facility; experience preferred,• Candidates may be required to float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals within the same service line,• Every other weekend work is required,Job Requirements• Current, active OT license required; license in hand required if applicable,• Minimum 1 year of acute care facility experience required,• Current BLS certification required,• Valid SSN and date of birth required for consideration,• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible,• Fit testing required; candidates must have facial hair that allows for proper mask fit testing or must be willing to shave,Additional Information• Responsibilities include patient evaluation, plan of care development, reassessments, discharge planning, assessment, and documentation,• Skills utilized include home exercise programs, patient and family education, lifting and transfer techniques, safety and injury prevention, adaptive equipment assessment, and cognitive assessment,• Trauma Level I experience is preferred,• Permanent employees of this facility must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler,• Travelers may remain on assignment for up to 18 months, after which a 3-month break is required; Allied travelers may stay up to 12 months, after which a 6-month break is required,• No more than 7 days of RTO per 13-week contract; no RTO during the first week of the assignment,
