Clinical PharmacistPlattsburgh, New YorkFull TimeSchedule:Full-time: 40 hours per week.Primary Shift: Evening (2:30 PM - 11:00 PM).Secondary Shifts: 1:00 PM - 9:30 PM and 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (as needed).Weekend Needs: Every other weekend.Responsibilities:Medication Preparation and Dispensing: Accurately prepare and dispense medications and pharmaceutical supplies for both inpatients and outpatients.Order Verification: Review and verify medication orders, ensuring accuracy, appropriateness, and compliance with established protocols.Patient Counseling: Provide medication counseling to patients, explaining dosage, side effects, and potential interactions.Inventory Management: Maintain appropriate inventory levels of medications and supplies, ensuring proper storage and handling.Quality Assurance: Participate in quality assurance activities to ensure the accuracy and safety of medication dispensing practices.Qualifications:Education: Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BS Pharmacy).Licensure: Registered Pharmacist (RPh) in New York State.Experience: Hospital pharmacy experience preferred.Skills:o Strong knowledge of pharmacology and medication dispensing practices.o Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.o Ability to work independently and as part of a team.o Effective communication and interpersonal skills.o Computer proficiency.
