As a team, we grow by tackling challenges together and we welcome everyone who wants to move the world with us.Sets up and operates CNC Lathe machines in order to produce the required parts for pneumatic cylinders and manifolds. Cuts and machines rods and barrels for use in the assembly of full range of pneumatic cylinders. Operates various specialty machinery, i.e. tube cutter, tube deburrer, tube polisher, rod saw, flat press, and roller burnishing machine.Key accountabilities:Performs complex CNC machine setupsAbility to read, write and modify programs for the CNC Lathe machinesMachines production components to critical blueprint tolerancesMachine piston rods on CNC Lathe & Machine various parts on CNC milling machineMachine production parts on manual lathe and milling machines as requiredSet up CNC machines to produce production parts to drawing specificationsPerform first piece inspection to drawing specificationsChanges tool off sets to maintain dimensions per production drawingsReads inspection equipment in both inch and metric increments (caliper, micrometer, depth gage, Last word indicator, pitch micrometer etc)Verifies conformance of all components to specifications.Uses various types of roller burnishing machines to finish piston rods. & Washes rods in cleaning solution to prepare for assembly.Knowledge and Experience:Experience in manufacturing/warehouse/machine shop environment or equivalent combination of education/experienceBasic computer skillsExperience with SAP or similar system is a plusKnowledge of hand tools and the Metric systemKnowledge of basic machine practices and safety standardsKnowledge of measuring equipment and machine toolsFesto Corporation offers a robust benefits package, which is designed to help employees and their dependents stay healthy, feel secure and maintain a work/life balance.
